I would expect if they were small enough to go in one end they should be small enough to pass the other..although im no expert and i can understsnd why your worried. i expect they do it in the wild and my gut reation is to not worry ( i know easier said than done), hopefully someone with more experience will be able to help.
have to say with the slow digestive transit it may take a while before you see them the other end...looks like lots of poo checking ahead |

Thanks ......
I have caught him doing this once before..Couldnt catch him in time to remove it - then just today caught him again ! My daughter was in charge of watching him - she quickly gripped the stone but he squirmed and scratched her (he truely had a death grip onto it) "Dont let it go....im comming" I said. With that it was too late ! gulp - down in one! Dont suppose anyone knows why the eat stuff like that? I was always under the impression torts would never eat anything that was bad for them (by instinct)..Any answers?? Much Love People A x |

Mine sometimes pass small stones - as Ali has said they will pass easier in the bath and leave some cuttlefish( the more weather beaten the better) in the garden and hopefully they will have a munch on that instead.
