awww, so a sign she has settled in well then. its nice to know they feel comfortable enough too nest. i am still waiting for my big female to lay, we found two eggsabandoned on the floor and thats it!
BTW, does your female have an overgrown beak or is it just a shadow? if its over grown how have you been treating it or do you just let it be?

no, i just wondered as one of my females always seems to have an overgrown beak, no matter what i do. would be good to hear about any body elses methods to keep it trim. i have tried the occasional filing, cuttlefish and feeding from a rough flag and slate. nothing seems to keep it down for long though.

I have a few like this, Ali. I just keep an eye on them and make sure its causing no distress and file them a tad as well. Theres Dora, this tort. Then a different female and also a male ibera all with this problem of a constantly overgrown beak, but they are all doing ok, so I'm not too worried.
