I actually think I have 1 boy and 1 girl, but not at all sure yet, they're only just over 2 yrs old. Interesting that you think it's girly. It's the flowers, isn't it?

Thats VERY heterosexist, GS- the boy tortoise might well appreciate the 'finer' things in life- you can't assume!

True enough- Dawn, maybe you should think about cut-outs of WWE- that would work for me! Or, you could maybe try playing him some opera, just in case he IS a culture queen after all...

You know why the arch is there?

It's cos I couldn't think of another way to join the two units together, as I couldn't screw them together to make one open rectangle, so I figured it was easiest to make an archway in each end of each unit and put bolts through it

Plus it's a nice little sight barrier The plants and flowers are to hide the bolts and stuff. And cos they're so purdy.

Of course, if he IS het, the flowery arch could convince him that there is a geisha-type lady tortoise waiting for him beyond, lounging on lotus petals or something...

...or maybe a ladyboy tortoise!

Hello all

I've been working on my table and almost finished now. Just need a few nice plants of some sort and a few other bits and bobs...

Just wanted to post some pics up to get a bit of feedback...

As I'm new to this I've kind of just taken some ideas from pics in this thread (thanks )

What do you think ? If there is anything wrong with it that I haven't spotted please feel completely free to say so

Hope these pics upload....

Ps. going to replace those stones under the bulb with a piece of slate or something...that's just there for the time being...

Lovely table Alice Is it a combined bulb you're using? That's what i want when I can afford to switch over!

Those circular housey things are gorgeous, I almost got one for mine ages ago. Whatever you do though, don't buy them in any Acorn shop, they're way more expensive than in Pets at Home or maybe even your local pet shop will stock them. One of my locals does, and they're a bit cheaper.
