I dont have a big enough space for her as yet to do towel I dont think, but its a fab idea

I layed Nanna on her back to take a photo of her plastron and she managed to get herself the right way up before I had even taken the picture! lol

If you have a couple of things in Maudes cool end she should be able to turn herself the right way up by pushing against something with her feet.

And besides-being on their backs is only really dangerous if they are under the heat lamp, if she is in the cool end she should be fine until you spot her or untill she rights herself. I know it is really scary but she should be able to do it ok, maybe they just need a little practice and the more things she has to climb up-the stronger her muscles and balance will become.

I may be talking rubbish so if I am just ignore me. I have had a tortoise for nearly 4 days so am hardly an expert, just trying to be helpful
fantastic reply Jay

Default Non Hibernaters

Any tort keepers able to post pics of their winter accommodation? I've been looking into getting a larger species for a few years and need inspiration and to design their accommodation way before I get the animals.

At the moment I am thinking about a couple of Aldabras as I have an extremely large utility room I can convert for their exclusive use and a large garden but I would be interested to see anyone setups for leopards/sulcatas

Pics of my new table...

In it I'm using hemp, readigrass, soil, wooden playstix, stones and slate so they have different textures to explore.
