at what age do male tortois become sexualy active please?

As they come out of the egg with some speices, they enjoy the practice.

male torts will flash from a very young age and will "practise" on each other, rocks etc but can't reproduce untill at least 5-6 or older depending on how fast they've grown and their breed.

i was told my 2 red foots were both girls and there age was approx 2.5yrs ,but tiny was trying to mount tilly the other day and makeing a right noise so im not so sure if its 2 girls ,what age can you be deff about the sex ,tiny has no waist to speak of .

You either have two males, or a male and a female. Its not known for two females to start dominating so young. But there is always a first time.

Very tiny tortoises can practise sexual activity at a very early age. Usually it is simply dominant behaviour in both sexes. They are mature when the female produces fertile eggs

yes i know my female is mature as she is 7 now ,

i ask this as i think my other tort is a male .

and i was wondering when i would have to seporate,they dont fight eachother or ne thing YET!


he is coming up to 3 i think i dont know how to tell his age ?
all i know is his size and weight?
can we go by this? i dont think we can ,
