Default Chinese soft shell

Has anybody kept one of these with another turtle or in a pair. I've read they pack a nasty bite but wondering if they are aggressive to other turts.

These animals are highly aggressive to eachother, and have been know to do serious damage to any "tank mates". Although saying that it seems they're the ones to get bullied when housed with hardshelled turtles. Eitherway it's something I certainly wouldn't recommend.

noooo.........i wouldnt trust my softshell in with anything, its destructive enough on its own without having another turt to aim the destruction towards.

i know of one that killed several hard shelled turtles.....it is an extremely aggressive example of a softshell BUT it shows they arent usually tolerant of others.

fantastic turtles none the less.

Mud turtles require shallow water setups as they can't really swim, so it'd need to be housed seperately from your map for both to be in the best environment. A Florida Red Belly should be fine, they're generally very laid back aswell. However after seeing 10" males and 12"+ females this weekend, it's made me realise that indoor ponds are pretty much the only way to go with these turtles.
