I am really kicking myself ....the reason being we went to our 1st rep show (Robaston) and we saw some little leopard torts at good price £65 each or 2 for £100. I was smitten I have a hermanns at the moment "Albert" and have wanted more torts since forever lol. Well the other half said I could have 2 if I wanted as a xmas prezzie of course I almost fainted but this posed a problem...where on earth would they go? Theres just no room left at the inn and we aint got a stable!
So I had to leave them where they were and go home empty handed so now im gutted really really wanted them and could have had them but couldnt do them justice in the long run. I just cant get them outta my head arghhhhhh

As gutted as you might feel you made the right decision not to get them.
As you say, you don't have the room, it is nice to see someone thinking before they buy an animal.
The bf and myself saw them at Rodbaston too and we were very tempted, but even though we do have the space for them decided against it due to other reasons.
It is never an easy decision, but it is better to follow the head rather than the heart when it comes to animals.
I can understand how you feel. I'd love to keep other species (I have 3 hermanns) but I know I don't have enough outdoor space where we currently live for more than one species really... especially if one or more turns out to be male.
Why not think about getting a couple of female hermanns to keep Albert company (if he's definitely a male that is). If you bought two from the same breeder you could keep them together while in quarantine away from Albert... would you have room to do that?
Just think of the great big mounds of poo they would do and they pee like a race horse - does that help !!!!!!!
you would think it would help but ..nope!..but you did put a smile on my face x

It would break my little heart..hence not bringing them home
Oh well maybe one day Albert will have company and I will have a new baby tort to play with...one can dream
one of the new members on here got the last leo at rodbaston. she called him rolo. i too saw them, i have lots of leos already and my husband refused to let me take him home.
if only more people were as considerate as you are there would not be so many torts up for rehoming ! you should be proud of your self you put the torts welfare above your desire for the wee cuties !!
I would never have forgiven myself if I got them and just "made do" Im a big believer in if somethings worth doing its worth doing properly......but im now thinking if I kick out the other half and all his "junk" I will have loads of room...then it will be just waiting for the kids to grow up and move out .....
.....and I could fill the house with Vivs, Tort tables and whatever else takes my fancy!

I have turned my study into a tortoise room - it has slate tiles and underfloor heating - I have a 14 x 7 enclosure ( 9 ft of it has a perspex front) and all 4 of my Leopards are still in the dining room with me where I can see them everyday !!!!!
