Cute picture! When the adult redfoots are in the kitchen, ted always heads straight for the cats bowl to see if shes left any crunchies. Never anything there as its a fat mogger that eats all the pellets in one go (and then licks the bottom clean).

Its really not a good idea to have torts wandering around a house, especially a kitchen.

hehehehehe tis great!!! They are proper little tinkers - mine when he comes out for a wander (always supervised coz of doggy!!) always seems to know where the dogs latest chews/food is and goes straight for it - am sure he's just trying to wind the dog up!!! Must be the smell coz years ago people fed them on dog/cat food etc didnt they? so there must be something about it that attracts them to it??

Interesting point. All the people that used to feed dog food thought they were doing the right thing. Probably had the tortoise out one day and it helped itself to the dogs bowl 'well, he must like that, we'll feed him that'. Shows that tortoises are just as good as us at chowing down on the stuff thats not good for us!
