Question for formulated diet users

Hi all,

I've seen plenty of nicely grown tortoises who have been fed formualted diets. However they tend to be sulcatas, redfoots, leopards. I was wondering what results people have had when feeding these diets to hermanns, graeca's and russains. Of particular interest to me is were these diets have been used since a very early age what sort of growth rate and weight gain has been observed and how old is the tortoise now. So has anyone been using these diets on these species for any length of time and what are your results?

you make a very good point. i too have noticed that a great majority of diet users that have had success have been feeding it to the more tropical species.

it will be interesting to see if anybody has been using this with meds.....or if they have the courage to post their findings.

I spoke to ed about this, the only problem he came across was in horsfields, he said they would grow asymetrical. So instead of growth all being round from the scutes it would just grow in one direction. But he said they were still smooth
