What colour was it?
If it's white, or creamy coloured it may just be urates and that's perfectly normal.

If it looks like mucus (snot) then it could also be partly digested weeds (I had this happen to me once when Bob passed a semi-digested weed stalk and it looked just like mucus). Are you sure it's not this?

Don't panic. If you do have to go to the vet when is the earliest time you can manage to get there?

Yeah, as Fantapants said that sounds fine - just urates. It's normal. Sometimes there will be more or less of it depending how hydrated your tort is and other things

Yes it was really creamy, suppose snot wasnt the best way to describe it lol. Thanku! .. I can't get to a vet at all as leeds is too far away for me & theres no where round here to go, especially now its christmas it'll be 10x worse! The red eye thing keeps going on and off but when he's in the viv he keeps it closed. I'm really hoping my new table will be sorted for tomorrow so hopefully the eye will be better. Do you think this will be okay?

I'm no expert on eye problems but just wondering, you said he keeps it closed in the viv. Could the UV/light levels be too high in the viv? just a thought

Noo he's not got a UV light, I've bought one though. The pet shop I bought it from reckoned they don't need UV lights, So my tort's never had one. He's still acting the same though still his lively self. The table we've built is having the UV light in though so it should be all sorted with the lights and stuff

hmmm sorry I don't know then. Unless there's something that's irritating his eye inside the viv, like dust from substrate or something?
sorry I can't be more help. Hope he's ok xx
