Breeding age??
Out of interest, what is the breeding age for tortoises???

In the wild, usually they have to be in their teens before they start breeding. However, in captivity it doesn't quite work out that way because they *can* be grown much too quickly and start laying early.
It's thought to be more to do with size than age, but in an ideal situation, a well-grown, smooth tort, wouldn't been breeding until they where at least 10.
