I'm going to build and outside enclosure for bruce, but i want to know, will he be to young to go outside? He'll be just under a year when i put him outside, is this to young? If not how big will the enclosure have to be? Thanks!

Bruce won't be too young ...... I'm sure he would love to spend the summer outdoors. You need to basically make it as big as you have room for! Take a look at the outdoor enclosure stickyfor some ideas.

Ok thanks for that!! We have about 5ft x 4ft of space maybe more! Will this be big enough? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

5ft x 4ft will be fine for such a small tort... if you put him in an area too big you'll really struggle to find him when you need to! Make sure it's well protected from predators like birds, foxes etc with some very strong mesh over it.

Mine were all outside this summer and two of them were only 9 months old when they first went outside in May.

Don't forget he'll need access to an area that is waterproof and heated as well if you're planning on leaving him out all the time so that he has somewhere to warm up. Have a look in the outdoor enclosure sticky that should give you some good ideas.

Can anyone help? I just need to know if you do need heating/lighting in the outdoor house. Thanks for looking.

What we are doing for Henry for the summer is having a viv in the shed with a cat flap that will go outside to a large run. So he will have a choice to be outside or in, thats if he ever gets the hang of the cat flapIt will be raised up and covered with protective mesh as he is still quite small. The viv will have his uv and heat lamp in if he needs it. Hopefully he will be able to stay out all summer if it is a good one.
