Default Turtles

Hi, what are the difference between the care of yellow bellied sliders and a soft shelled turtle? As my local garden centre are keeping them together, I know soft shelled ones can be aggresive to other species but i was wondering in care wise? also i didnt see a uvb, just a normal tank light. I am not buying one just wondering thanks

They are quite different, softies are really tropical, or at least subtropical species and YBS are temperate, so they have different temperature requirements. Softies can also be highly aggressive towards other turts, even of their own species, and their powerful bite can inflict serious injuries.
Keeping hatchlings of both species together is probably not such a problem, as the young YBS would need warmer water anyway, and the young softies should be less aggressive than adults.
