Default Calling all you nurses on here :)

I realise this is a little OT but actually isn't... I will go on.
Sorry mods.
I am hoping any of our shelled nurses can manage toget hold of any catheters for feeding sick torts. the catheters I mean are the ones that get placed in your arm or so for an IV etc. Size I am hoping for are 12g, 14g and 18g.
The reason i am on a begging mission is I had to pay just under £6.00 today for only 2 at our vets so would appreciate if anyone can help. Or can anyone point me in the right direction to acquire some.

it may be worth you trying a few different vets. all to often vets make up the prices by charging extortionate prices for the little things....but some of them ARE reasonably priced. i once paid £7 for a stomach tube to worm a leopard. the vet nurse told me that they cost just 39p to buy in. so i called around, checked on the net and got them in a pack of ten for £5.98

Your best bet Denise is to contact your local hospitals/hospice and ask if they would be willing to give you any out of date stock for your torts. I'm on days off at the mo, but when I go back to work I'll get the manufacturers details for you and maybe you could contact them direct and come to an arrangement?
