Default weeds glorious weeds

I went out weed picking today and it was like spring (only colder!)!
Having had weeks of only finding plantain and the odd bit of bittercress I've come back with :

dandelions
rough hawksbit
hedge mustard
chickweed (in flower)
speedwell (in flower)
dead nettle (in flower)
white nettle (in flower)
plantain
bittercress
Nipplewort

I can't believe it! I'm so excited that I just had to share! (yes, I'm that pathetic that a bag full of weeds excites me now)

ive never been interested in growing anything let alone weeds and im sooo exited to see if they grow or not..

are we all sad or just loving tortoise owners?

Go you Nancy.

I think you're brill... that's exactly how I felt last Saturday and that was just from finding lovely fresh dandelions and vetch growing in the garden again... not had any for a few weeks! I just hope we don't get a freezing cold February like we did last year which will kill them all again.

I tore the ligaments in my foot a couple of weeks ago so hubby is on dog walking/weed picking duty and he's not very good at it!

Well done Nancy - I have been limited to dandys plantain and mallow recently - I would have been pleased as punch with that lot too.

ooh I'd forgotten - I found one mallow plant too!
I'm still so excited - I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and give Bob a big pile of lovely fresh, mixed weeds. Hurrah!
