HELP! ANOTHER question about bedding!!

I have just become the proud new mom of Tilly, my baby Hermann. I have been reading everything about these tortoises until i am dreaming about it all!! I initially had hemp put down for Tilly but just changed to 50/50 top soil and play sand. I purchased my top soil from Focus, the Levington one costs @ £3.89. I have put Tilly onto her new bedding and she doesn't seem impressed at all!!!! She hasn't tried to burrow and the sand and soil is sticking to her, is this normal??? HELP!!!

I know i may sound ultra paranoid but this is my first tort and i seem to be checking her constantly to see if she is ok.......

Have you just got soil or do you have something else on her table. Torts like different surfaces I have soil, Aspen and large pebbles. If you have only just done it, may take a while for her to settle again I know Henry sulks if i change anything.

Hi my little herrmans just has natural beech wood chippings at one end of his house and he just seems to snuggle down in it under his log at night time.

Thnks for yr response Mel & Clover.... She has soil/sand and just a little hemp over the top.... i have just checked her and she has burrowed in a little and is out like a light!!! I luv her to bits so much already! I am also a HUGE dog lover, i have 2 furbabies, 2 children and 1 hubby!!!
