company or not??

looking to buy 1 or 2 hatchling torts,are they better paired or alone,i have been told if they are used to hatchling siblings they will miss them if seperated? advise please?

if you want 2 torts its better to buy them from the same place at the same time but you still have to bear in mind that when they get older they might not get on and have to be kept separate,thats 2 enclosures heating etc theres no way of determining what will happen, they are ok by themselves, they don't live in groups in the wild but having said that my 2 siblings often sleep and spend time together so having just 1 is fine having more is fine its up to you.

ok thanks for that my hermanns has always been on his own(how i got him from previous owners) and he seems happy enough.but then i was told they prefer company so wasn`t sure.

if you get another now you've got to go through the quaranteen period which is a minimum of 6 - 18 months if he's ok then unless you want another for your reasons then he'll be fine.
