Allergic to Tortoises

Is it possible to be Allergic to Tortoises or for them to carry anything that could cause a skin reaction?

not unless they are carrying any bactera that could cause an infection or irritate your skin.
they dont have any "particles" themselves that would come into contact with your skin and cause an allergic reaction

and they arent cuddly and contact is limited to moving them, bathing, the odd smooth of head or touch of skin or shell - I think allergy would be very unlikely to a tort itself -maybe substrate in anindoor enclosure depending on what it was!!

I've heard of some who've had a reaction to the uv light, could that be what your refering to?
