hi i used wild flowers of britain by roger phillips.its not exactly pocket sized but i prefer the large format(poor old thing cant see the pictures in smaller books) and i can leave it in the car depending how far away from home i go. every year i add a couple more to my identify on sight list .when you have as many mouths to feed as i do you need all the help you can get lol.

I use these two:

Collins Complete Guide to British Wild Flowers: A…Amazon.co.uk: Paul Sterry: Books

Weeds: Friend or Foe? - An Illustrated Guide to Identifying, Taming and Using Weeds: Amazon.co.uk: Sally Roth, Anna Dourado: Books

I like them because they have actual photos rather than drawings. It doesn't cover everything but the collins one does also have additional photos of juvenile plants and/or flowers as well as close ups of leaves for some species. Neither covers everything but I find that together they cover most things.

Here is a link that has a downloadable illustrated guide on edible weeds.
Scroll to the text below the list of weeds and follow the instructions.
