Default Pansies.

I have read on here once before that tortoises can eat pansies. Is this true? Also is there any type of pansies that cannot be ate by tortoises?

They can Georgia... leaves and flowers... but don't just buy them and feed them straight away as they'll have been treated with fertilizers/pesticides and many have the slow release type in the soil. Repot them in topsoil (take off as much of the original soil as you can from around them without breaking the roots, you can rinse them very gently to help this) then leave them outside to weather off and wait for new growth before you feed them.

At this time of year they are very easy to grow yourself all you need is a little planter and a pack of seeds. They will grow fast and you will know that they are free from pesticides and stuff too

Is most of the plant new growth now? I bought some about that length of time ago and mine is now so I planted some in my littlies enclosure yesterday.

Ask whoever does your garden whether they've been treated with anything... if not they'll be fine.

I planted some lavatera seeds today... they're supposed to be easy from seed. Do you want me to send you some for you to have a go with them? There's loads in the packet.

Hiya tina. I've just asked my dad, and he said that he hasn't treated any of the plants in the garden, as they always seem to grow well without it. Thank you for the advice everyone!
