Question Help, vomiting regurgitating hermann!

Hi there,

In previous posts i have benn talkin about my tort not eating, he has a vet appointment on tuesday however, just a moment ago he started to regurgitate he was foaming at his mouth, and a thick black long (1") fleshy looking thing came out of his mouth, i went to get substance to put in a pot to take to the vets but he had ate it again by the time i got the pot. He has also been very lazy and slow the last few days.

Oooh Amy I don't have a clue, but I guess it might be worms. Try feeding him a bit of butter nut squash as it has natural worming properties. Glad to hear he is going to the vets though as that would have been my first thought too.

Let me know how he gets on.

Is he outside? Slugs make them foam like this. Squash will only work as a wormer if given with nothing else over a period of days. Just a bit here and there will have no effect unfortunately.

Hi,

He is indoors, however i have only had him for 5 weeks so i dont really know whether the previous owner had him outside for a time. It is funny you mention the slug, because i was just mentioning to some friends that what he brought up looked a skinny slug...before he ate it again.

Unhappy

Hi Guys,

Just to let u know, i took my tort the vets. He is very poorly! Anorexic, infested with worms and has also got a totally blocked intestine (with small stones) the stones were from what the pet shop had him laying on and he had been eating them :-(
He is being kept in hospitalisation for 2 nights....and a hefty bill with a formal complaint to the pet shop!!!!

How is the vet planning on dealing with the intestinal blockage? Did they tell you?
