Default Introducing...

Mr Turtle & Arthur! *Mr Turtle from my names earl and Arthur because hes got half a yellowy shell and half a black one )

They got back, did a walk around their new home and found the weeds!

Nom nom nom..

Then after strolling through the water bowl getting soil absolutely everywhere and stuck to their legs and having a bit of a feast they decided to call it a night

Hope you guys like them as much as us

Noting the water dish is dirty because the torts dragged soil through it - then they went to bed. Oh and theres no UV/Lighting as I took the temporary one off as I'm burning in the UVB power sun bulb.

Heres another:

Cheers

isn't that one of TT's set up's did the torts come from him ? I saw him at maidstone yesterday and he had similar tables that go with his hatchlings, I have two 3.5yr hermans that came from him as hatchlings and I can't reccomend him enough, I've never had a days illness with either of mine and they were lovely babies. TT had some gorgeus babies there yesterday its hard for me to remember mine being that small.

Yep we spent probably about 60% of our time at maidstone chatting away with him

Ran through all the last minute things, got all the papers and what not. Tell ya though knowing that the set up is as close to their own one they've been used to all this time is a great relief to me as I hope they can settle quicker.

I nearly had a heart attack this morning though, one had decided to bury himself under the soil - by this I mean full on bury couldn't even see his shell!

Popped them under the basking lamp for a bit and one seems a bit more active than the other but as T.T pointed out to me yesterday thats all natural I'm not that worried

he's a lovely man and will always be there if you have problems, thats the first show I've ever been to and we only really went to say hello to TT as we haven't seen him since buying our hermans, they are so cute when tiny and we've spent hours in the garden trying to find them when they were younger they can dissapear so quick I thought about putting flags on their backs or even something metal so we could use the metal dectector. One of mine was always more forward and he earned the name Fidget the other one is Timmy who is now as bold as his brother, still slightely smaller and lighter in weight though.

I've yet to weigh ours yet but I'll be keeping a record of size/weight so I can see their growth too
