Can you mix tort species in outdoor enclosures or would they need to alternate?

I have a hermanns and may be getting a spur thigh, they will be in diff enclosures during the day.

Both 9months old.

yes you would need diff enc for inside AND outside. Iv heared Spur torts are quite acressive when it comes to mating and the spur will ram the hermans shell and maby even kill it, thats what iv heared

I holiday a couple of spurs for the past few years and no kidding they like to butt and bite each others legs, aggressiveness is an understatement.

You shouldnt really alternate which tort goes in the outside enclosure as infection etc can still be spread this way.

They will need seperate inside and outside enclosures hense why so many people stick to 1 species!!

I have spurs and they are fab but yes as mentioned aggression is common in males when mature enough to mate!
