Default do all tortoises hybernate?

Hi can you guys tell me what tortoises do not hybernate? when kept as pets? and can you get them in the UK?

All of them except Hermann's, Greek Spur Thighs, Marginated & Horsefields which do hibernate.

so these are the breeds that DO hybernate? is there a way for them not to hybernate?

There is if you want to have health problems. They hibernate for a reason, its part of their life cycle. If you cant do the best for a tortoise then I suggest you try another sort of reptile.
It seems you want to continue asking the same question until you hear what you want, rather than listen to whats being said.
There is no problem with hibernating tortoises, if the proper steps are followed.

Really? Can you direct me to a reputable piece of research that 'proves' this? In my experience you can keep 'hibernating' tortoises going through the winter without any adverse effects.
