Default Worms

Does anybody here have a microscope and examine their torts dropping for worms?

I've read on the TT website Here that it is possible and quite straight forward and just wondered if anybody here does it. With my growing collection I'm interested in learning to do this myself and would appreciate any pointers.

Having only thought about it this afternoon I have no information on the chemicals that need to be purchased but it is something I will be looking into over the next few weeks and I will update the thread with my findings.

Cant say I know anything about it but was wondering if you'd like my torts poo as well to help you practise

Would say its certainly worth looking into though if you have a good few tortoises - wonder how much it'd save moneywise over a year or so?

Hey,

Think you would only see worms in their poo if you had just wormed them or if they had a large infestation. It's the worms eggs that they look for when they send them into the lab

indeed, if you can see worms wriggling around in their poo then its a bit late to get the microscope out to be honest
