May i suggest you move this post to the classifieds area as this is the help and advice section.

You will also need to provide dimensions of the tank for anyone to help you, and also what breed of terrapin you are looking for.

Chances are you will need to prove you can care for it before anyone gives you one as they are currently under dispute with the RSPCA due to people not looking after them properly.

Also terrapins get rather big so you will need alot of room if you want more than one.

YBS can grow to 12" plus and eventually need a very large setup, much bigger than many people would consider having.

Also see this post, you have to be commited to atleast 30 years if you are serious

How huge is a huge tank? cos they need ALOT of space! the have a nasty bite too! so many end up dumped in ponds and rivers because people get bored of them when they grow up, its sad

Could you fit a 12 year old hormonal female and a 15 year old with ADHD in your tank please?

I would suggest you ahve a really good read up on what sort of thing you want to put int he tank and then contact places such as the Tortoise Trust to see about offering to rehome some turtles.

What do you mean by "terrapins" though? Terrapins are not a species, the term covers all species of semi-aquatic freshwater turtles, so what species are you thinking of keeping?

Your tank sounds pretty good, do you know what the volume is and can you post some photos of it?

If you're serious about this I can put you in touch with several rescue centres, but they will all want to be sure that you are committed and that you know what you're doing before they'll let you take any of their turts.
