Question My tortoise has white parts on the edge of his shell

Hello Everyone,

My 2 year old tortoise has white part on the edge of his shell!! its a complete ring!!! im just wondering if any one know what this is?? he is a horsefield and he is 2 years old!!! (well i dont actually no if he is boy or girl)

someone please help!!!!

If its sort of like see through shell at the edges of his shell than dont worry hun it's new growth coming through and its all perfectly normal so panic over hopefully

I was asking all the same questions a year ago - panicking and being a little wonky in the head is all perfectly normal as well me thinks

Looks fine hun - only comment would be about the substrate - although I dont know anything about what you're using you may find Titch will dig and tunnel a bit more if you use top soil - Horsfields like to tunnel and dig about a lot and I arent sure he'd be able to in the pellet stuff thats down hun. Would be worth thinking about changing it I'd say
