Default A suggestion for the forum?

Having read through a few posts lately where people have been a little brash so we say can I suggest that members under the age of 18 HAVE to show their age in their signature.

I've come across similiar problems before on other forums and this has worked well.

People do generally speak in a slightly different manner and/or maybe explain things in a simpler way when talkign to youngsters.

I just think it'd help stop any future problems.

Thanks

Interesting idea, however, it does support the notion that if they are above 18 then we can be utter to them!

Below 18 - "Ah, its wrong to have a Vivarium, you should be using a Tabletop."

Above 18 - "You brought what? HOW DARE YOU DO THAT! A PLAGUE OF POX UPON YOU AND A PLAGUE OF LOCUSTS UPON YOUR HOUSE!

Actually I think people should speak to people in a civil way regardless of their age!

I know when I've been explaining things in posts I'll use different language - as in different words not as in swearing language - if I've been speaking to a teenager.

There's no point explaining something in a way or using words that a 12 year old wouldn't understand is there.

True, however, I've also found that many adults as well on such sites can get confused as well. I think the best approch is KISS; Keep It Simple, Stupid!

i've not been here long but from what i've seen, people can be a little, either closed minded about new ideas or just not willing to accept other ways of doing things, normally people that have only just had a certain thing for 6 months and think they know everything and that its the only way to do something

but thats a common problem on all forums, and i've seen it on many fish forums and it pushes more experienced, helpful members away as well as pushing many newbies away as they'll get it in the neck, or feel that way.

I'm going to say something to you that's been said to me by every person I've ever loved: I'm really disappointed in you, you are pathetic and weak, and I don't love you anymore. Get out!
