looking good - I'm wondering too how long it'll stay that tidy! My spur thighs are like bulldozers!

looks lovely but one thing, you need to feed more than just one weed, dandelions are a dioretic apparentley so although we are all told to give them to many of them can be bad. It was a post I saw on another forum about it, the idea is to give as much variety in a meal as poss, ie several different types of leaf I don't think many of us knew about the dandelions as I'm sure we all use them to frequently. They appear to be ok in moderation but that applies to most of the foods which is why I think its important to vary them.

Thanks for that Ann, since mine hasn't been eating, I can only really tempt him with dandilion leaves and the odd little bit of tomato, I thought that was better than nothing. And there was me wondering why if I am bathing him twice a day why does he still have gritty urates, had no idea that dandilion leaves were a diuretic, so thank you!

It was posted on SW and something I never thought of, I think most of us grab a handfull of dandes in fact I grow a patch of them outside the kitchen window, there was something else about them as well but I can't remember I'll see if I can find the post. Found it but don't know how to post links anyway it says "they are a diuretic and can cause dehydration possibley leading to kidney stones" it also says that they are better fed just a couple of times a week, may a separate post should be made, sorry I wish I could post links but don't know whether a whole thread from another site can be posted on her?

no he doesnt try and eat the stones (when i first put them in, he sniffed at them for a while but that was it)

i dont just feed him dandelions but thats the main thing that grows in my garden!! thers some weeds with little purple petels on them but not sure wether to giv them 2 him as i dont know if ther poisonous? gonna have another look on the weed sticky.

thanx for letting me know that dandelions are bad in large amounts, thats very good to know.

Default Can I just ask.

I was told that the UV strip was no good on the side of the table as it wouldnt give out any UV to the tort unless the tort was directly under it which he never was so I was told to place it across the top length ways in the middle though like this table all strip lights are on the side wall. mine looks rather stupid where it is and I think where it is placed at the mo it is prob less beneficial.

Sorry jump in on your thread but it would be great if someone can help me out.

Nice table hun its given me some ideas as to what to do with mine I find that there is nothing exciting in mine and its a little boring.
