Default Do you think Whistle misses her?

As some of you may remember, I was talking about the fateful day of giving up one of my tortoises as their fighting just got too much. Well that day came on Saturday where I went to the lovely Denise's place in Bolton to give one of them a good new home.

Thing is we then went to family in Halifax and came back a couple of days later (Whistle was being looked after by my oh's mum) and she has been behaving really wierdly. After watching her a lot, she is a lot more subdued, eats well but seems to be wandering in an out of hides, sleeping more than usual and settling badly at night. Do you think this change has messed up her territory/routine/mood?

I expect she's just waiting for someone to nip her head when she's not looking - I should think it's bound to take her a couple of days to get used to being the only tortoise escpecially if she's used to being bullied, it'll take her ome time to realise that she wont be hurt or bullid now.

I certainly dont think she'll be lonely though cos tortoises live on their own in th wild and only breed whn they meet up with another and then wander off on their own again

I'm sure she'll be as looney as normal in a couple of days lovey

Thank you, I certainly hope so! At the moment it feels like I'm missing both of my torts!

Ohhh lovey big big hugs to you sweetheart - I bet it does feel really strange - give yourself time to grieve for the one that's gone off on her holidays but keep strength in the fact that you made a really hard but brave decision and you did what was best for the tortoise lovey, hats off to you cos I dont know if I'd have been selfless enough to have done that
