Default My local reptile shop

After being a member of this form for some time now. I Spent a lot of time in this section when I first got in to torts. How ever over the last few months I have just followed the threads and laughed to myself at some.

But I would just like to point out that not all shops are bad and not out to rip every one off sale imported torts and give You bad advice.

Here is a pic off a typical setup supplied by my local rep shop for a juvenile tort. These Tables are very high quality and made for them by a local cabinet maker. The set up with tort lights substrates etc typically cost around £250.00 (all reps in there shop are captive breed)

thats all very well but I bet they only sell the tables as they are hand made and can make them as much profit as a viv, ask them if they'd sell a cheapy say under £50 which is what it costs to make one, or how much is the table by itself without the tort and extras.

O looks like your on one my dear they are £50. I know how much it costs to make them and I also had these cabinets made for my viv's for £150.00 so ask a question before you answer it yourself.....

You cant adjust the distance on the light, and it looks quite small. I like the finish on it though, like oak.

You can adjust the hight of the lamp with the chain that I put on the end but with the current air temps I have it up as high as it will go. the table 3.6ft x 2ft so I think you will find that is a bit bigger than a rabbit cage.
