As far as im aware, tortoises dont need to be chipped! thatswhat i got told awhile back by DEFRA its either that or they lied. otherwise i would not of sold my pair.
im sure the vet will still microchip the smaller one. - edit - JUST read up on it and i apologise tom i was wrong you was right. Sent PM.

yes they do need microchiping, if you intend to sell once there over 100 mm, if the small one is under 100mm you dont need to spend money getting it done before you sell it.However if your going to keep them you dont need to its only if you are selling.

Med tortoises, graeca, ibera, hermans, marginata all need artical ten certs to be sold.
They have to be microchipped if being sold once they reach four inchs in length. Hatchlings just need the artical ten certs. Horsfields, leopards and a few others dont. |
