Just sitting watching my turts, and saw them going up to each other and flapping there hands at each other really fast and nothing else and no attempts at bitting each other !!
Then they were almost trying to hold hands !! What are they doing, are they trying to breed, havent had them 7 months yet so probably to early for breeding but it didnt look violent to each other at all. One is bigger than the other at the min, maybe she** is growing faster because she is a she, or maybe its just growing faster because its sitting in the basking light more. Please let me know if you have any ideas Thanks Ben |

They are fanning each other, in adult turts it's part of the mating ritual, males do it towards females.
In younger turts both sexes do it though so it's not a reliable indicator of sex, sometimes it's also used as a means of establishing dominance.
