Default dilema!!

i'm in the process of setting up an axolotl tank (amphib i know, keep reading).. but everywhere i go there are map turtles and YBS... i want one.. my OH won't let me because we already have 3 torts. i know i would have to upgrade the tank as its a 3ftx1ftx1ft but i'm so tempted. i would have to find somewhere else for the tank too as its next to my newts who like cold temps.. axies or turts?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!
can someone put me off the idea and get me back to the axies!!!!

Go for the turtles. They do much more than the boring axys.

Aww Axies are way cool though.

I know Millie, do you have a pretty big garden? If you do, start getting a pond ready, then you can turtle shop til your heart's content

I wont be any help at all cos I want some Musks as well and I also want some axys cos I think they're fabulous! Think the axys would come first though.

If it helps some of them turtleys get HUGE like 14" bloody huge so that should put you off

Did that work at all

Just take a look at the photo I posted in another thread, of a cute hatchling YBS sitting on the back of a huge adult, if that doesn't put you off the idea then maybe turts are for you!

Sounds like your OH needs to do a bit more research, I have 13 turts and my house would stink if that was true (it doesn't BTW), all animals smell if you don't keep them clean, humans too!
