Hi
I have just bought a TetraTec ex600 for my Terrapin tank and am having probems with it. The water is not circulating as it should/at all. It is going to the top of the 'in' pipe before going back down again, the same is happening with the 'out' tube, it goes right to the top before falling back down again. This has continued for 24 hours, although a trickle does go over evey so often. I have set it up as per the instructions and an instructional online video. The only thing I didn't do is cut the tubes to a shorter length. Does anyone know where I am going wrong? Also I have just added a floating island to the tank but my terrapins haven't been able to get on it yet, whenever they try, they just fall backwards. Should they be able to get up with ease by swimming up to it or do they need something to stand on? (I have two 4 year old yellow bellied sliders) Any advice would be much appreciated |
