Default can you breed a map turtle with a yellow bellied terrapin??

Is it possible to breed a map turtle and a yellow bellied terrapin??

yes and its not wise! interbreeding species could lead to health problems. i have seen map x ybs juveniles and they dont look a pretty turt in my opinion.

also there are so many turts out there looking for a home breeding more would either mean housing them yourself or trying to sell them which can be nigh on impossible!

Where have you seen trans- genus breeding of these two species?

There are photos of Map x RES hybrids on ATP, I can't see why anyone would want to deliberately breed such freaks though.

Well i dont know if this sort of experimenting harms them, but i guess it is done with most other thinks, reptiles fish etc etc. I dunno. Some of them aint that pretty but 1 or 2 of them actually look amazing....
