Default Tortoise ID please?

Hiya,
I`ve been given a pair of unwanted adult tortoises...
inclusive of their 4x2 foot table and heatmat
I know nothing about them other than the female has laid this year but the eggs weren`t incubated.

Can anyone ID them for me please so i can start planning their new outdoor enclosure?

Please excuse the state of the table, they`d literally just arrived. Their beaks will be getting sorted asap too.

Thankyou!

Testudo Marginata I believe.

Not brilliant with tortoises, need someone more knowledgable to back it up.

Can we have a shot of the plasteron please?
As I dont think they are margianta, but cant be sure.
Hermani hermani came to mind.
Is there a spur on the end of their tails please?
They should have come with paperwork even if they are marginata. Although if you give them away its not always the case, but if you do breed from them they will need paperwork.

Me think Hermans too - lovely dark colour. Poor things look like they really do need some tender loving care dont they - good luck with them and well done to you for taking them on

they look like Testudo graeca ibera (greek spur thighed) to me, not large enough marginal scutes to be a margie and shell a bit to tall to be a hermanns.

feed them on a piece of slate, .. or on the concrete outside and that will wear their beaks down. they have very large beaks, i'd say a little too large but its no cause for concern, at the worst a soft ladies nail file can sort that out.

looks like tort in picture number one has a little bit of shell damage. is it bad?

The first 3 pics are of the male, i think the first pic is showing a bit of old straw stuck to him or something..at the back you mean?
