Default winding down - when are you starting?

Hello

I'm just curious to know when people are planning to start winding their tortoises down for hibernation. I've not made my mind up yet about when I'll start so just thought I'd find out what others were doing

Mine have all perked up since they've been inside under their lights - I'll start wind down at the end of the month and then hibernate them beginning of December

Mt 2 have started to wind down on their own, and are only eating when I hold the food in front of their faces. The rest of the time, regardless of the temps they are asleep buried down.

I will be "officially" winding down from 1st Nov and they will be going into the fridge on the 1st December give or take.

thanks

Wurtle isn't showing any sign of slowing down so I was thinking of trying to keep him going until the end of the month and then begin to wind him down - that way he'll be asleep for the worst of the winter I hope!
I'm not sure how long to hibernate him for this year (because of his liver condition) - I'll check with the vet in the next couple of weeks before I start the wind down I think.

My smaller tortoises kept inside are still raring to go, its only the ones kept outside with heat etc, that are winding themselves down.

My ones outside are all winding down, I'm letting them decide.

My two littluns indoors are going to get the treatment end of November

My redfoot is indoors, and she's started to wind down although i haven't changed her temps yet... all i've done is change the period of her daylight lights.
