Default He forgot my bday again + stupid heater broke

My ceramic heater stopped working, so I rushed to somewhere in Teynham on the way home from work to get a replacement and then rushed home to set it up only for it not to get hot:/ aarrrgg!

It gets hot then it kinda switches off and goes cold again and then a while later it gets warm again but its cold more than its warm so its obviously faulty>_<; the temp doesnt go above 70 degrees, which is the room temp, and I cant get a new one till tuesday due to work rawr! Ive ordered one online in case I cant get to the shop to replace it, im hoping it comes soon, though with all the postal strikes im not holding much hope! so poor little Guana has an emergency heat bulb at present which I dont like using at night as its not fair to blast him with light when he wants ot be sleeping and a heat mat ive put in the corner where he sleeps:/ stupid electrical appliances! ¬¬ Hopefully he will be ok, with the one ive ordered and the one i shall take back and replace he will have two so if it stops ever again I have a back up!

on another note, my OH has forgotten my bday again its at the weekend but he already told me weeks ago tht he was taking me to see a show called *Wicked* in London, and I booked it off work and have been looking forward to it for weeks, only to find out tonight tht he hasnt got any tickets and cant:*( what a let down on my birthday weekend git

He forgot last year so I was really hoping this year would be nice, I shouldnt have got my hopes up¬¬ looks like its me and some wine

he forgot last year and ive been giving him somewhat grief over it since as it hurt my feelings, so I would have thought this year he would make an effort but obviously im not worth making an effort for

Of course you are worth making an effort for, don't think that you're not!

It's not my place to do down your OH, but maybe he's just a bit crap with remembering things, or doesn't get the importance of it? You know what they can be like sometimes, they don't put so much importance on symbolic things as we do.

possibly:/ but you would think that after last year he would make some small effort:/ guess I was just hoping too much.

Bleh, birthdays suck as you get older anyhow so who wants to celebrate them anyway?! :P

If I was there I would take you out and feed (yes, feed) you copious amounts of wine and possibly cheese and onion crisps. Then, we'd get some sort of takeaway on the way back, laden with garlic. Then, just for good measure, you could have a tuna sarnie.

Then, and only then, will you go home, and continually try to snog him!

My OH's bday is the day before mine, can't go wrong! Plus mine is on Xmas eve so even easier to remember. I got her bday, then mine, then Xmas.

Seriously though, no matter what point in the year her birthday was, I'd remember it! What he's done is terrible.

I'm not one to put people down normally, as I don't know the guy, but there's really no excuse. It's one day a year, not hard is it. Tell him to buy a bleedin calendar.

Sorry to hear about your other half. The postal strikes don't take effect until next Thursday, so your order shouldn't be delayed. If you're desperate (and can get to Greenhithe) I have a spare ceramic bulb you can borrow for a little while.
