Default Cooter gone loopy!

I think one of my Cooters has gone a little mad. I was watching him last night for a few hours and all he seemed to do was:
  1. Walk up the basking spot (Cork Bark)
  2. Walk down the basking spot to the water
  3. Goes in the water
  4. Walk back up
  5. Jump in the water and go for a swim
  6. and then start all over again
It is quite funny to watch as he looks really impatient and cant stay still, but does this mean anything is wrong?

I highly doubt it, they are only a few months old and about 2.5" big.

Mine does this often. She'll bask for ages and ages, then suddenly go in the water, only to come out again after swimming one length of her tank!

What's your basking temp? I don't think your turts behaviour should be worrying you, but all I can think of offhand is that it's maybe a bit too hot, and pretty much as soon as it gets up there, it needs to cool off again?

But like I said, mine behaves similarly!

Temp is only 26... The heat bulb went out yesterday so only have the UV light till we go out and get one today...

They seem perfectly healthy just that one that cant stay still.

Maybe it was trying to find a way to warm up, or maybe it was nothing. I doubt it is anything serious though.

Well, it's definitely not too hot!

Maybe it's just indecisive? wants to bask but then gets spooked/changes its mind, that sort of thing.

I can't advise on any potential bad reasons for it behaving like this, but I'm sure someone else can if there's anything.

I think he is just a little bit loopy to be honest.

One of my sliders has started running across the basking area, diving off one side, swims round the tank, then climbs out the other side of the basking area and carries on doing that over an over......
There must be something in the air.......
