Oh there are loads of plants you can put it, but I can never remember the names of them! I think most plants you can get at a LFS are fine. Floating plants are good too, as it gives them security. Duckweed, water lettuce, amazon frogbit, water hyacinth, water lillies, are all good floating ones

You could try eBay as well, but be warned, a lot of sellers count 1 plant as 1 stalk, whereas in a LFS 1 plant is several stalks held together at the bottom. So do some quick sums before buying from an ebay listing that's for '100 plants'! In my area anyway, plants in a LFS are usually about £2-3 each, or 5 or 6 for a tenner, that kind of thing.

there are loads of plants that the little critter will like, but if its still young then it may not eat them as much as when it gets older. some good plants are duckweed, fairy moss, densa, cabomba, water lilys, water lettuce, water hyacinth, parot feather, brook lime, vallis, spatter dock, frog bit i'm sure there's loads more but i cant think

I have great success with water cress in both my outside pond and the winter indoor one, I use it partially as a filter growing in an old box filter with the water running through the roots as well as just floating in the pond itself. It seems to do well inside and out and helps to keep the water lovely and clear plus they eat it along with my birds and torts.

all my adults seem to demolish parot feather as soon as i put it in the tank. i collect it from a local pond the farmer always wants rid of it so i end up with tons every month or so free is always best.
