Default not all vets are trustworthy

ok please be gentle with me as this is very hard for me to post.

so sqwishy my female cumberland (about 4/5yrs old) had been acting very odd so i decided to get her into the vets asap. traveled to a so called specialist vets for him to tell me there was nothing wrong. the vet turned to my fella whilst i was there and said "they do worry these women dont they?". well i wasnt happy and decided to get a second opinion so i rung yet another vets which booked me their next sooniest appointment which was a week away. she was still acting real lethargic and off her food basking all the time. eventually the appointment came and we travelled to take her. the vet looked over her and told me that he thought that it was septacemia and that he wanted to keep her in for more tests. well the next morning i got a call from the vet. sqwishy passed away through the night!! i feel so sad and hurt and angry. if the first vets had of picked up on this then maybe she would still be with us!?

i am not going to name and shame the vets practice all i will say is it is in the manchester area!

R.I.P Sqwishy, i hope you are at peace now with no pain.

Really sorry about your turtle.

Even vets don't get it right all of the time unfortunately!

It's very difficult until you find one you can trust!

It's very frustrating for you though!

So sorry to hear your new Marie - RIP little Sqwishy.

It is always a difficult thing - exotic vets are hard to find - most of us do travel miles to see one. We all put our trust in them.

The trouble is "us worrying women" do know our owns pets and we can tell when they are not themselves.

You did all you could Marie.
