i dont think there are many above tank pumps? There was this discussion in the fish sectionm, they work on gravity and stuff right? So you might struggle.

Steve, mate you need to stop getting more pets hahahahah seriously mate sounds like a right house full. Once you get your tort you could prolly charge your neighbours for visiting as a nature reserve? hehehe wish i could afford the time and money for all those though, with exception to the chicks maybe

I'm not sure, but can you not have pond filters above the tank? I only ask cos I've seen lots of pond build threads and stuff, with pics of the filter above the water level. It's cos a pond filter needs a separate pump, right? So the actual filter can be above. I know very little about pond setups yet though!

Pond filters, I think, are cheaper comparatively to large aquarium filters.

I'll have to pass, never bothered to even look into pond systems, for the obvious reasons.

I thought about it for my big cooter tank, but she's going into the shed as soon as we can afford to finish kitting it all out with pre fab ponds and stuff.

I think if you can use pond filters, then that would be good cos they're generally larger capacity for a better price.

Yeah i was saying the other day i may charge entry fee and put bags of food for a quid my niece and nephew love it. Gives them the animals i think every young kid should be able to see and interact with animals.

On the filter a pond filter maybe a good idea. I also want to get some new furniture at some point as well so wrecking it isnt to much bother.

My missus wants dart frogs but if i get the beardie there wont be room. She still hasnt twigged about the tort yet although im struggling to make excuses for the space we have that i wont let her fill.

The chickens are temporary as we hatched them a little late in the year so may have them till there a little bigger but then there going to the gfs folkes garden. Were sorting a warm shed for them so the frost doesnt get them as there still be quite young as it gets colder. The cheep cheep was cute at first but now its getting louder!

Earlier in the year one of the bantam hens down my gfs parents garden hatched 3. She kicked two out and kept one. Unfortunatly we got to one of them to late but managed to bring back the other. She was quite weak so we raised her indoors unfortunatly now tho she doesnt get on with other chickens very well but when you go down the garden she comes up to you and shell sit on your shoulder as you walk around the garden. Her name is kenny which came from kentucky fried chicken as we joked thats whatd happen if she was a male when she was to young to tell and the name stuck. Its pretty cool tho to have a chicken who thinks its a parrot.
