Default Terrapin Shedding

My YBS is shedding alot. Is this natural and does it happen all the time? Or is this just her time to do it and then she wont for a while? Probably a stupid question to ask but one I dont know the answer to

Shedding is perfectly normal but it shouldn't happen continuously, like other reptiles, snakes for instance, turts shed so they can grow, when they are young they may shed every month or so because they're growing fast, as they get older and their growth rate slows they shed less often.

If they are taking a long time to shed that would normally indicate insufficient UVB, heat, vitamin E, or a combination of these. Lack of a completely dry basking area, or a humid atmosphere (usually caused by having a lid on the tank) can also cause shedding problems (scute retention).

Well it has a uvb10 spot a space that it could fit onto 6 times to bask. It has a massively varied diet but will check vitamin e levels. Ive only had it a few weeks as i rescued it. Before i had it it had a poor diet no uvb no basking light or basking area it was in a tiny 1 1/2 tank with a few inches of water and gravel. Its only been shedding heavily for a few days. Shes lost about half her damaged scutes as well. Il keep you guys informed on all this just incase you mite think the vets or a change in how i care for it is needed
