Why dont you get a really fancy box with ribbons etc, and inside put a note saying you are buying her a tortoise, but wants her to choose the speices herself. I am sure she will be just as happy, and you wont be in the dog house

meh she dont know what type your going to be getting, even if she does know.

what i will say now...get to the winter feed guide and stock ujp on plants, allow them to weather or continuously wash them, or get some grow your owns that are fast growth or your gna struggle to vary a diet at Xmas

pixie your wrong! Then he will be in the dog house for not making a surprise decision himself! lol. Thats the way you all work, you want it all your own way, but we have to 2nd guess which way that is

Youve met my gf?? Lol this is extremely true for her more than with previous gfs. I brought her some perfume before there were two she liked so i thought id be nice and buy both. How wrong was i! Apparantly buying both was putting no effort into it so was a c**p present :S

Lol well I would rather have the choice of tortoise, rather than something I didnt want thats for sure. You could have everything else ready wrapped up except for the actual tortoise. You could even have a couple of breeders lined up so she can choose

she nearly brought a horsefield before so thinking it may be the best option. It was from a local rep shop and I told her not to get one a she should o to a breeder or rescue so thinking horsefield is the way to go even tho the hibernating comments
