So I'm setting up a new tortoise home, nearly finished. The pair are in it now, just needs some more decor and things to entertain them a bit.

Anyway, go in to put up the (probably) last light.

Didn't really think about it, plugged it in, then got it in place. Nearly finished when boom. turns out a 240v shock really, really, really hurts. after a lot of I left the light where I had it.

Now I have this outline on my finger and the worlds WORST headache.

Well that's my near death experience for the day, how was yours?

loll, it wasn't exactly my finest moment, stood on a rock in my walk in cupboard surrounded by wires and in quite a lot of pain....

First thing I did, call my OH. Then look at the damage.
