Default dimming thermostat

Hey you guys (in his slough face and voice!!!!)

Just wandering what you guys think of using these with combi bulb...reason i am asking is because i cant physically hang my lamp over my table, and if i use the batton for the clamp the bulb is just too close causing too much heat, so a dimmin thermostat is perfect for me really....

It's because the lamp only works on full power or not at all, you cant use them with any type of stat.

Can you not screw something to the wall, like a bracket of some sort and hang it on chain from that? I'm guessing your table must be reasonably close to a wall, for the lamp to plug into a socket?

Clamping isn't good anyway, as the bulbs need to be hanging straight down.
