''what are you basking temp? it should be 10 degrees higher than the water temp ie if you water is 24C your basking temp should be between 32-35C. also do you have a uv bulb/tube? ''

yes, 86-90,and 100 basking.
we have a uv tube for most of the day,and the lamp
later on.

next time you have to get another uv bulb (as they only last 5-6 months at a time) get a 10.0% 5 is ok but 10 will be better for your turt.

Use a reflector with the 5%, get the most out of it you can. If you don't already have one, you can use tinfoil, and I've seen people cut kitchen roll tubes in half and coat in tin foil (for strip lights). These all work in the meantime, but are probably not as efficient as an actual reflector, which is a pity, cos they're cheaper!

if you use a compact bulb, you can make a cone shaped thing with tinfoil and secure it around the holder part.

It's also a good idea to have a 5% UVB no further than 6" from the turtle, if you can do this safely.

Razorback musks are infrequent baskers, so your turtles are not behaving abnormally.

However, your temperatures are too high - your basking temp should be mid 80s to low 90s and your water temp should be mid to high 70s
