Default Slightly Worried!

As some of you may know i bought two baby musk the other week. One of them seems perfectly fine, swims around, eats and is a nosey little bugger but the other is just in his shell on the basking spot most of the time... He eats a little bit but not much.

Think he is ok? He looks finebut when i pick him up to put him in te tub for feeding he opens his mouth and when i put him back does the same.

Sounds like he's defending himself.

When I had my poorly musky I was advised to feed him a few earthworms and I added a drop turtlevit for added measure. He picked up.

Try it and see!?

a good way to get earth worms is get a pole and put it a few inches (4 ish) into the ground, wiggle it for few mins and the worms come up above ground to u. trust me this works

Hmm, just fed them it seems that they are both feeding alright but the one i mentioned in this thread, when i put him in the tub looked as if he had either itchy eyes or head as he was rubbing his legs and head together. One side then the other.

Does this mean something bad?

i dont really know with regards to a turtle but my tortoise did this when i first put her in her new home it was from the substrate, i changed the substrate to beech chip and only a little sand/soil mix and she is now fine

Hey Aaron, I've had a couple like this and they tend to perk up after a couple of weeks...... And Musks do bask alot when they are young so I wouldn't worry too much about that either.....
As long as it's feeding alright you should be fine.....
