Default Whats wrong if anything?

I noticed today that Harry was asleep under his heat lamp but he had his head fully out and resting on the ground in front of him!

I went to open the cage to see if he was okay clumsy me didnt do it quietly and startled him he retracted his neck in a little then went back to sleep was trying to get a pic of him doing it but sods law he wont do it again!

Also his back leg was streatched out and the other one going the other way!

There a pic of him slightly streatched out but when i seen him b4 his neck was right out!

Should i be worried??

Don't worry - mine do that all the time. I think it's the sign of a blissed out tortoise basking in the warmth of his heat lamp It is very scary the first time you see it though, and in fact even now after years I still get a fright whenever I see them all legs and head akimbo and dead to the world!

Thats how they bask, they take in the UV through their skin, so they lay so most of the skin area is exposed to the light.
All normal.

Yeah, my tort does that too, really does look like they're dead sometimes! And he gets his legs at some really odd angles too!

When my terrapins bask they sprawl out in all sorts of odd positions. Sometimes they'll wave or flap their hind feet around- like a dreaming dog!

Mine is doing this all the time! I am sure she is doing this to scare me, because when she hear me around when she is playing dead, she just ensure that I'm scared and then she opens her bright eyes and moves a little. What should I do, should I stil pretend I'm scared just to make her happy?
